Application Overview


In the field of biological engineering, fermentation broth is a complex mixture which contains organisms, soluble molecules, electrolytes and other substances. The components in fermentation broth very complicated, which may include microbial cells, colloids, viruses, proteins, polysaccharides, enzymes, single- sugars, organic acids, inorganic ions, etc. This also determines the downstream processing of fermentation broth, such as clarification, purification, depuration and concentration, which needs more than one single procedure to complete. As for the traditional fermentation broth processing, such as plate and frame machine, centrifugal machine, diatomaceous earth processing and evaporation process, the product recovery rate is low, and the rate of material waste is high. Also, the traditional fermentation broth processing has high labor intensity, large amount of waste emissions and other shortcomings.
